I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. I started on a Nikon F3 film camera my grandparents gifted me, and I even developed my own film in a tiny darkroom I set up! That early love for capturing moments turned into a lifelong obsession—one that’s taken me across continents, into freezing Icelandic landscapes, and even underwater as a scuba-certified photographer! Whether I’m hiking down slick waterfalls or setting up to capture the stars at night, I’ll do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot.
I bring that same adventurous spirit to your wedding day, but also with a calming presence. Weddings can feel like a whirlwind, but I’m there to help you slow down, be present, and enjoy the day as it unfolds. What do you love most about photographing weddings?
I take the time to get to know you—your relationship, your dreams, and the vision for your wedding day. My approach is relaxed, collaborative, and fun. I want to feel more like a friend than just your photographer.
How do you make clients feel comfortable in front of the camera?
My adventurous spirit drives me to go wherever your story takes us—whether that’s hiking a rugged trail, capturing the vast beauty of the night sky, or diving beneath the ocean’s surface. I approach every wedding with energy, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the unique moments that make your day extraordinary.
What sets you apart from other photographers?
Absolutely. I bring two cameras, shoot on dual memory cards for redundancy, and back up all your photos to my server (with additional offline and offsite backups). I take the security of your memories very seriously.
Do you have backup equipment?
I have an extensive network of friends, peers, and others who all offer incredible experience in their own right. They are friends, mentors, and competitors who do a damn good job but most importantly they also understand the incredible importance that your wedding photographer fills and they will happily step in to cover me- That said I have never had to cancel a wedding. It would have to be appendicitis or a death in the family for me to need to provide a replacement for you.
What happens if you can't make our wedding?
I hold the sacrament of marriage in deep reverence and strive to document your wedding with the utmost respect for its spiritual significance. My approach is centered on capturing the beauty, grace, and sacredness of your union in a way that honors the religious traditions and blessings bestowed on this special day. I am dedicated to delivering timeless images that reflect both the spiritual and personal meaning of your marriage, ensuring that each moment is preserved with care and reverence.
